Hiking :

Several hiking trails  pass directly behind the house.
The long-distance hiking trail GR10 also starts nearby.

We recommend hikes to Pic St Christophe, Pic Néoulous, Tour de la Massane or Tour de la Madeloc. If you want less difference in altitude, some smaller tours are possible all over the Albères. You'll get the local routes in every office de tourisme.

The jagged valleys of Lavail and Vallée heureuse are wonderful starts.
If you want to get a whiff of serious mountain aire, venture the Canigou, holiday mountain of Catalonia

Mountainbiking:

Besides marked trails, all firefighter roads are a good recommendation. These are usually marked with "DFCI".

There are loads of flat passages on secondary roads and an extensive cycling path network. But long ascents are also found.

Recommendable roadbooks from  www.vibraction.org  start or end in Collioure.

Windsurfing/Kiting:

Beaches of Le Racou and between St Cyprien and Canet are well known for their perfect conditions

Water parc Aqualand in St Cyprien

Dogs are permitted on the beach "Plage de la Marenda" north of Argelès sur Mer. They are also permitted on the north end of Le Racou beach, near the port entry (unsupervised swimming area).

For all restaurants, please ask if your dog is permitted. Most will accept pets.
